It takes the place of film

Load it like a film cartridge and close the door. You film as always, through your camera's own lens, viewfinder and trigger.

It records while the camera runs

The camera's motor turns a wheel inside the cartridge. Each time a tunnel lines up, light reaches the light sensor (LDR) and the Pi keeps recording.
